Improve Your Listening Skill Gradually

For many students, listening is the most difficult skill to acquire.  No-one can teach you how to listen, so endeavour on your part is essential;  nevertheless, I can promise you that if you persevere, you will start to enjoy listening, because you will understand what is being said.  It is so easy to practice the skill which needs the least practice.  Therefore, don't practice the skill which you find easy;  practise the one which is most difficult for you.

1.  Listen to songs as often as possible, because the lyrics are repeated and will eventually become easier. 

2.  Record programs from the radio and listen again and again until you can recognize most of the words and understand the meaning of what they are saying.

3. If you are finding it very difficult to listen and understand, use corresponding books and tapes.
